At a time when sustainability is becoming crucial to cloud strategies, it is essential for DevOps teams to understand the key environmental indicators linked to their infrastructure choices. This talk provides feedback on the integration of multi-criteria environmental metrics, including greenhouse gas emissions (scopes 1, 2 and 3), energy consumption and water use in data centres. We will discuss the various key indicators to be taken into account and how they can guide the selection of a cloud provider or the design of an eco-responsible architecture.
